DBA bridge

Displacement-Based Assessment of reinforced concrete bridges. It provides a pseudo-pushover capacity curve of the bridge in both the transverse and longitudinal directions. It allows considering the non-linear capacity of each member

Completely standalone

You don’t need any other software to run it

Type and Check Environment

Every time you input a parameter, a plot updates allowing for cross checks

Member failure mode

DBAb allows considering the expected failure mode of the piers: flexure, bar buckling, shear

Plastic mechanism

DBAb determines the sequence of member "hinging", indicating the member that global yielding and ultimate conditions

Dr Roberto GentileAssociate ProfessorCatastrophe Risk Modelling · UCL

I provide tools that allow engineers to use quantified risk as a metric for design, and risk modellers to improve their estimates using advanced engineering methods.

I co-direct the DE|RISC Lab at UCL.

I am the founder of OpenVulnerability.

I'm available for consultancy in risk modelling, especially for seismic and flood fragility and vulnerability models, damage and loss estimates for buildings and infrastructure. I also advise on the seismic assessment and retrofit of reinforced-concrete structures.
